How do I register?
Press the button in the right corner. Here you can get directly into our member portal and can become a member immediately. If you are in a bit more of a hurry, you can transfer DKK 100 to 87731 and write your email in the comment. However, with that method you have to reply to an email afterwards, where you have to give us a few pieces of information.
3 for 1 membership. What?
In European Youth, you are lucky enough to automatically become a member of JEF, a transnational umbrella organization, as well as the European Movement for the same price. Lucky you!
What is JEF?
JEF (Young European Federalists) is the umbrella organization that European Youth is under. It is an association of European youth organizations that believe in European cooperation and work to strengthen it. Further, some work to become part of the EU, such as Norway. We have a very close collaboration with the other organizations and often travel around Europe and visit each other for seminars, summer camps, etc. We organize the largest summer camp in the Nordics ourselves. Read much more about them here.
What is the European movement?
European Youth has a very close collaboration with the European Movement, which can be seen in our seats in their executive committee and main board. They work for the same as us but with an older target group. Their organization has local branches throughout the country like us and you can often meet them at events made in collaboration with our local branches or at the Political Festival of Europe (Folkemødet). If you yourself are perhaps a little too old for European Youth, we would definitely recommend you to join the European movement. You can read more about them here.
What does European Youth mean?
In European Youth, we fundamentally believe that Denmark's membership of the EU is important and we should greatly strengthen it and abolish all our reservations. You can read much more about our positions here.
What do you do in European Youth?
In European Youth, there are many ways to get involved both locally, nationally and internationally. You can find your local association here and follow their events on their Facebook page. They do everything from professional presentations and debates about the EU to social and pleasant events such as summer parties and Christmas lunches etc.
Nationally, every year we have our national meeting, weekend seminars, study trips, international summer camp and much more. You can also become even more active and take part in one of our committees, and help with policy development, our social media and communication . You can apply to become a member by contacting the person responsible for each committee by email. Read much more about each selection under 'Selection' in the menu.
Internationally, you can help nurture our network and business partners, and you can travel with us to the many opportunities we get from our friends around Europe. Through the international committee, you can also help plan our international seminars here.
What does it take to be a member?
It requires exactly what you want it for. There are many opportunities in European Youth and therefore you have the opportunity to sporadically sign up for things or commit to board work.
How do I get active?
The best way to get active is to show up at the local branch closest to you. Our active members are very good at explaining the various opportunities available in the association. Find your correct local branch under 'Local associations' in the menu.
What does it cost?
It costs only DKK 100 per year to be a member. And you are only charged once a year in the quarter you registered in. That means that if you sign up in May 2022, your next charge will be in March 2023.
I don't know anything about the EU. Can I still join?
You can easily do that! In European Youth, we are interested in the EU, but we are all at different levels when it comes to EU knowledge. And it is an obvious place to start if you want to learn more about the EU in a fun way.
I am a member of other political organizations. Can I join in?
You can! We are a cross-party organization and there is therefore room for everyone.
How do I unsubscribe?
You write an email to our national secretary at info@euro.dk
What is European Youth?
European Youth is a cross-political organization that advocates for the EU. Our purpose is to inform the EU and to get young people to form an opinion about how we can make the EU even better. We do this through local, national and international events.
How am I allowed to write that I am a member of European Youth on my debate post or other media appearance?
You write to the chairman of our political committee, Nicklas Verne, so that he can approve it. When your debate post or other media appearance appears in the media, we will post it on the website here
